Hennessey Ford GT Sets New American state Mile Record
The Texas Mile has another time come back
and gone and if there was a takeaway from the weekend festivities, it’s
Hennessey Performance’s show-stopping run that clearly became the news
of the weekend.
According to The Texas Mile’s Facebook page, the fancily dressed Ford GT1000 managed to hit a blistering high speed of 267.6 mph at the period event in Corpus Christi, Texas.
267.6 mph, everybody!
If that speed is absolutely supported - and that we no reason to believe it won’t be - then Hennessey’s GT has simply set a replacement record, handily beating the 263.3 mph it set last October and therefore the 257.7 mph high speed it did now last year.
We expect to visualize an officer update at any time with some a lot of photos and videos of the Hennessey GT’s blistering high speed run.
For what it’s value, though, huge props to the fellas over at Hennessey for another time setting a replacement bar in man’s unsatisfied quest of driving quicker than it ever has before.
